- polystyrene bud - 35 mm x 27 mm
- a small piece of sandpaper (if you want to change the shape of the polystyrene bud)
- florist wire #20 (the length depends on how you want to attach the balloon)
- pliers (to cut the wire)
- scissors (ideally small, curved ones)
- small ball tool

- cake dummy (whichever size you have)

- dust colours:
- red (or other colour of your choice)
- white
- paste (gel) colour:
- black (or other colour of your choice)
FP = flower paste (gum paste).
SP = sugarpaste (fondant).
50/50 FP/SP mix = FP and SP mixed in a 1:1 ratio. To make a 50/50 FP/SP mix, mix similar size pieces of FP and SP.
