Use some sugarpaste and a small amount of corn flour to smooth the surface of the topper. It’s easier to use two pieces of sugarpaste on opposite sides (press gently and smooth from both sides), instead of one piece of sugarpaste (as in the photo). If you use one piece you won’t be able to use much pressure because the topper is light.
