Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully. They explain the basis on which you may use this website and purchase digital products from Crumb Avenue (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the website, creating an account, downloading any materials (including free materials), or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1) OVERVIEW
This website (the “Site”) provides digital cake topper tutorials (accessed online through your account), downloadable/printable template files, and a Basics & Tips library (educational posts and guidance).
In these Terms, “Content” means all materials available on the Site, including tutorials, templates, images, text, downloads, and the Basics & Tips library.
All products are digital. No physical goods are shipped.
2) ELIGIBILITY
You must be 18 years or older to create an account and make purchases.
Users aged 13–17 may use the Site only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
3) ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY
To access purchased content, you must create an account using a valid email address. We verify your email address using a one-time pass code (OTP).
You may optionally set a password. If you do not set a password, you can log in using an OTP each time.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information,
- keeping access to your email account secure (as it is used to receive OTP login codes), and
- all activity under your account.
Accounts are for individual use only and must not be shared.
Communications
We may send essential service emails to operate your account and deliver purchases (e.g., one-time passcodes (OTP), purchase confirmations, and important access or support notices).
If you opt in, we may also send marketing emails as described in our Privacy Policy (e.g., tips, new tutorial updates, occasional bonuses, or offers). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email footer. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect essential service emails.
4) DIGITAL PRODUCTS, ACCESS & DELIVERY
A) Individual tutorial purchases (lifetime access)
When you purchase an individual tutorial, it is added to your account and you receive access to that tutorial in accordance with the lifetime access definition below. If that tutorial includes downloadable templates, you will be able to download and print those templates.
Lifetime access means access for the lifetime of the product on our platform — while Crumb Avenue operates the Site and the purchased tutorial remains available. We intend to keep purchased tutorials available long-term, but we cannot guarantee that the Site or any specific tutorial will remain available indefinitely.
B) All-Access plans (time-limited access)
If you purchase an All-Access plan (1 month, 6 months, or 12 months), you receive access to all tutorials, templates, and the Basics & Tips library available on the Site for the selected access period.
During an active All-Access plan, you may download templates and keep the files you downloaded, subject to the license in Section 7.
All-Access plans expire automatically at the end of the selected access period and do not renew automatically. To regain access after expiry, you must purchase a new plan.
It is your responsibility to download and save any templates or files you wish to keep during your active All-Access period. Once the All-Access period ends, online access to tutorials, templates, and other Content is removed automatically, and we are not required to resend, restore, or provide access to any tutorials, templates, or files that were available during the expired access period.
C) Tutorials vs templates (important)
Tutorials are accessed online through your account and are not downloadable or printable.
Templates are downloadable and printable (PDF file).
D) What a tutorial includes (varies by tutorial)
The exact items included with each tutorial may vary. Examples include templates, photo steps, tools and materials lists, paste amounts, and short video clips. The items included with each tutorial are shown on that tutorial’s page under ‘What this tutorial includes’. This list forms part of the product description.
E) New content
We may add new tutorials, templates, or resources from time to time. We do not guarantee any specific schedule or frequency of new content.
If you have an active All-Access plan, you can access content available during your plan term, including any new content added during that time.
5) PRICING, CURRENCY & TAXES
Prices are shown in USD.
If your card is in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply a conversion rate and/or fee. The final amount is determined by your bank or payment provider.
Where applicable, you are responsible for any taxes, duties, or charges required by your jurisdiction for digital purchases.
6) PAYMENTS
Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal.
Depending on your device and location, you may be able to pay using credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or other payment methods offered at checkout.
We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Payment providers may store and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Access to tutorials and downloads is provided immediately after purchase.
Access activity, such as opening tutorials or downloading files, may be monitored and logged for operational, security, and support purposes, including verifying delivery, confirming access, investigating disputes, or resolving reported technical issues.
7) LICENSE, PERMITTED USE & RESTRICTIONS
All Content remains the intellectual property of Crumb Avenue and is protected by copyright and other laws.
When you purchase a tutorial or plan, or download free content, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Content for your own use, subject to these Terms.
A) What you ARE allowed to do
You may:
- use the tutorials and templates for personal projects and professional cake orders,
- sell cakes that include toppers you made using the tutorials or templates,
- reuse the templates as many times as you like for your own cake work,
- adapt how you use the templates while modelling (e.g., combining parts, adjusting proportions) for your own creations.
B) What you are NOT allowed to do (strictly prohibited)
You must not:
- share, resell, gift, redistribute, upload, publish, or make available any tutorials or templates (including free samples) in any form,
- use any tutorials, templates, or other materials from the Site as teaching materials for classes, workshops, courses, demonstrations, or group sessions, whether free or paid,
- take screenshots or screen recordings of tutorials, or otherwise copy or save tutorial pages; only the provided downloads may be saved for personal use, and they must not be redistributed,
- share your account or allow anyone else to access Content through your account,
- copy, reproduce, translate, or create derivative works of tutorial content for redistribution,
- modify template files (PDFs) to resell, share, or present as your own template product,
- scrape, crawl, or use bots or tools to copy Site pages or content,
- reverse engineer or attempt to obtain the Site’s source code,
- interfere with the Site’s security or operation.
C) Free content
Any free tutorials, free mini tutorials, free samples, and free template downloads are protected by copyright and licensed under the same rules as purchased content.
D) Figurines sold separately (outside cakes)
Selling figurines occasionally as part of cake orders is generally permitted.
Selling figurines on their own in larger quantities, running a shop focused on these designs, or marketing the designs as your own is not permitted.
If you are unsure whether your intended use is allowed, contact us before proceeding.
E) Social media sharing
You may share photos or short clips of your own work.
Templates may appear briefly, provided they are not shown in a usable, printable, or clearly readable form.
You must not share detailed steps, techniques, or multiple stages in a way that replaces or reconstructs the tutorial.
8) NO TEACHING LICENSE (IMPORTANT)
Teaching using Crumb Avenue tutorials, templates, or Content is not permitted.
You may not use any Content as teaching material for classes, workshops, courses, demonstrations, or group sessions, whether online or in person, free or paid.
We do not offer teaching licenses. No exceptions are made.
9) ENFORCEMENT, SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
If we believe you have violated these Terms or misused the Content (including account sharing or redistribution), we may immediately:
- suspend or restrict access,
- terminate your account,
- block downloads and access to Content,
without notice and without refund, to protect our Content and the fairness of pricing for all customers.
We may also take any other action or remedies available to us under applicable law.
10) REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS (DIGITAL PRODUCTS)
Because our products are digital and access is provided immediately after purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where the product was not delivered or accessible as described.
All-Access plans are fixed-term digital access products. They expire automatically at the end of the selected access period and do not renew automatically, so there is no recurring subscription to cancel. You may stop using your All-Access plan at any time, but unused time is not refundable except where required by applicable law.
If you experience technical issues accessing purchased content, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and assist. In the rare event that tutorials or templates cannot be accessed due to technical issues on our side and the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, we may offer alternative access or a refund where required by applicable law.
Refunds are not provided for reasons such as changing your mind, not using the product, purchasing the wrong item, forgetting to download templates during an active All-Access period, or expecting a physical product when the product page and these Terms state that the products are digital.
11) DISCLAIMER (EDIBILITY & SAFETY)
Content is provided for educational purposes and “as is.”
You are responsible for applying techniques safely. Some projects may use inedible supports (e.g., skewers, cocktail sticks, florist wire, polystyrene). Any inedible items must be removed before serving or eating.
Results vary depending on materials, tools, climate, and skill level. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.
12) SERVICE AVAILABILITY, TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS & CONTENT CHANGES
We aim to keep the Site available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may update, reorganise, or remove content from time to time.
The performance and availability of the Site may be affected by factors outside our control, including internet connection quality, device settings, browser configuration, network restrictions, or the use of VPNs or proxies.
13) THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES
The Site may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
14) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages,
- our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
15) PRIVACY
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
16) CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on the Site.
17) NO WAIVER
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.
18) SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
19) GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts.
20) CONTACT
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us via the contact form available on the Site.
