Step 1

Gingerbread Man

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Ball tool, Bone tool, Dresden tool, Scalpel, Blade tool, Medium round brush (glue), Small round brush (glue), Skewer – 8 cm, 4 x 3 cm cocktail stick pieces, 4 cm #24 wire, Glue, Trex (to grease hands), Cmc

AMOUNTS: Light brown sugar paste – 134 g, White 50/50 sugar paste/flower paste mix – 10 g, Red 50/50 sugar paste/flower paste mix – 6 g, Black flower paste – 1 g, Pink flower paste – 2 mm ball, Green flower paste – 1 g ball, Yellow flower paste – 5 mm ball

Gingerbread Man

Body - 45 g. I add about 3-5 g (1/2 – 1 tsp) of CMC per 200 g of sugar paste, depending on body part. I add the CMC to the sugar paste shortly before forming the elements. Make sure the bottom part of body if flat. You want the topper to be sturdy.

Legs – 2 x 7 g

I make holes in the body using a cocktail stick before inserting the legs or arms. It’s easier to push them in without damaging them.

Step 6

Arms – 2 x 5 g. I made the second arm the same way as the first one, but I didn’t use the blade tool to make the cut.

Step 7

Gingerbread Man

Make holes in the body using a cocktail stick before inserting the arms. That way you won’t damage the arms while pushing them in. Leave the body to dry. You can secure the arms from underneath with pieces of paper towel.

Step 8

Cane – 2 g red, 2 g white

You will need an 8 cm long piece.

Leave the cane to dry.

Head – 65 g. Flattened oval. Size – 6 cm x 5,5 cm.

For those of you who want to be precise: Eyes: distance between center of eyes – 3,3 cm; distance from bottom of head – 1,5 cm.

Eyes – 2 x 8 mm balls. Inside of mouth – 3 mm ball.

Eyebrows – 2 x 2 mm balls. Tongue – 2 mm ball.

Icing – 8g (3 mm thick). Smooth and round the edges.

Buttons – 3 x 4 mm balls.

Bow – 2 g (2 x 9 mm balls + 6 mm ball)

Cherry stalk – 5 mm ball

Sprinkles – green: 5 mm ball + yellow: 5 mm ball.
If you want the topper to look more interesting, dust it a little.
