  • cocktail sticks x 2
  • polystyrene cake dummy (covered with cling film)
  • ball tools:
    • 8 mm (I used a bone tool)
    • 11 mm
  • round cutter - 3 cm (or similar size)
  • mini palette knife (or other flat tool - see step 92)
  • brushes:
    • glue - medium round, fine round
    • painting - small round, very fine round
    • dusting - medium flat, small round

  • Flower paste:
    • green - 56 g
    • blue - 6 g
    • black - 12 g
    • white - 17 g 
    • red - 4 mm ball
    • maroon - 1 g
    • pink - 5 g
    • greyish-green - 5 mm ball
  • Edible glue
  • Red paste colour (I used Red Extra Sugarflair)
  • Dust colours (you don't have to use the same brands):
    • Pink: Rose (Rainbow Dust)
    • White: White (Squires Kitchen)
    • Black: Black (Sugarflair)
    • Blue: Hyacinth (Squires Kitchen)
    • Green: Leaf Green (Squires Kitchen)


Gel colours I used to colour the pastes:

  • Green: Sky Blue (Wilton) + Golden Yellow (Wilton) + black paste
  • Blue: Sky Blue (Wilton) + black paste
  • Black: I buy coloured black pastes.
  • Red: I used Poinsettia Red paste + Rose (Wilton)
  • Maroon: Dark Brown (Sugarflair) + Rose (Wilton) + Violet (Wilton)
  • Pink: Rose (Wilton)
  • Greyish-green: leftover green paste + black paste
Height: 12.5 cm
Width (widest part of the cake topper): 6 cm
  • Flower paste:
    • green - 56 g
    • blue - 6 g
    • black - 12 g
    • white - 17 g 
    • red - 4 mm ball
