So you want to create a cute and unique cake topper. How do you go about it? If you have no idea where to start, don’t worry - help is here! I'll guide you through the design process.

I almost never search for photos of other cake toppers. I personally prefer to come up with something of my own by mixing a few different ideas from other niches.

If you have never used Pinterest before:

Type the keywords into the search box on top of the page (f.ex. ‘cute Christmas illustration’). If you click on the image (pin) you like and scroll down - you’ll find more similar images. You can save the pins to boards to keep your ideas organised and easy to find.

Pinterest will automatically suggest pins for you based on your previous searches. I found many inspirations that way too.

Save all pins that you find inspiring or pretty - everything you might need to create a character including his accessories/props and his little friends.

For example if you are thinking about making a cute Halloween witch, apart from saving cute witch images also save cauldrons, witch hats, pumpkins, cats etc.
