Knead some CMC into a piece of ivory paste (keep on adding the CMC gradually; the paste doesn't need to be very thick; you want it to become just a little bit more thicker, so that it's not too soft when when you texture it later). Roll it out to about 2-3 mm thick (the piece needs to be long enough to wrap it around as shown in the photo). Apply some glue on the styrofoam (the text block sides; make sure there are no dry gaps) and stick the strip on.
