Equipment
Edibles
- Sugarpaste (fondant) or flower paste (gum paste) or modelling paste*
- Edible glue
- CMC (Carboxymethyl cellulose)**
* You'll find the amounts in the 'AMOUNTS' tab.
** If you decide to use sugarpaste (fondant) add CMC to the paste to make it thicker, otherwise the cake topper will sink. Keep on adding the CMC until the paste gets thicker (you need too use more pressure to knead it). Add it shortly before forming the parts. If you let the paste sit for a long time after adding the CMC it will become dry and crumbly. It will be difficult to get a smooth finish.
