Round cutter - slightly larger than the llama’s head (I used a 58 mm one)
Teardrop cutters:
22 mm x 17 mm (or similar size)
18 mm x 13 mm (or similar size)
Carnation cutter - 25 mm (or similar size; or other flower cutter)
Wooden skewer x 2
Florist wire - #24 (or similar gauge); 3 about 3 cm long pieces

Painting palette (or small containers f.ex. bottle caps)

Flower paste (gum paste):
white - 82 g
ivory - 2 g
black - 1 g
yellow - 4 g
pink - 4 g
blue/teal - 4 g
50/50 FP/SP mix*:
white - 12 g
Black gel (paste) colour
Dust colours

yellow
blue
pink

* SP = sugar paste = fondant; FP = flower paste = gum paste. To make the mix, knead same amounts of the SP and FP together. You don’t need to weigh the paste. Just mix similar size pieces. If you mix two types of pastes together you get properties somewhere in between those two.

Make one large flower of each colour (yellow, pink, blue/teal). Roll out the flower paste (gum paste) to about 1 mm. Let it dry from both sides for a short while (the paste needs to hold the shape but can’t be very dry).
Use a carnation cutter to cut out a flower (I used a 2.5 cm cutter). Place the flowers on a foam pad. Thin the tips of the petals with the round side of the dresden tool (radially outwards - see the arrows).
Fold the flower in half as shown in the photo (if the paste is floppy, leave it to dry for a moment before folding). Roll it (see the curved arrow). The centre of the flower should be rolled quite tightly. If the base of the flower doesn’t stick together you can apply a small amount of glue before rolling.
