The spots on the egg are made using a splatter method: Fill the bristles of a toothbrush or a stiff-bristled brush with gel (paste) colour dissolved in a small amount of water. Pull the bristles back so they launch paint onto the egg.
To make the crack on the egg: First make an indentation with the fine end of a dresden tool. Then deepen the indentations with a scalpel. Finally paint the lines with dark grey gel (paste) colour dissolved in a small amount of water.
The ears are teardrop cutouts. Trim them with a small round cutter to get the characteristic edge. The base of the ear should be thick so that you can put a wire in it.
