I had a SMURF-TASTIC day today! I hope you'll have as much fun making this topper as I did :)
Height of the topper: 12 cm (but you can make it different size - just print the image the size you want the topper to be).
Print the image the size you want the topper to be.
To make the topper I used flower paste (FP) and sugarpaste (SP) - see image above.

To check how much paste to prepare, form body parts - not worrying too much of course about their shape ;)
Once the legs dry a bit (you don't want them to be squishy) use a dry wooden skewer to make holes in the legs (rotary motion; gently; gradually).
Take the skewer out.
Trim the skewers, cut the legs at an angle. Don't attach the body until the legs get firm.
Use a dry skewer to make holes in the body where the legs will go.
Apply some glue on the cocktail sticks and the legs and attach the body.
Roll a thin, long sausage and stick it around the joining.
I inserted short pieces of wire into the body where the arms go (about 3 mm sticking out). Both arms need support as shown in the photo.
I wasn't happy with the amount of black inside the mouth so I added a bit more ;)
If I'm not sure if I'll need the neck I make it just in case ;) After making the head I checked and it turned out that I can cut the neck off ;)
Make a hole in the head with a dry piece of skewer and check the positioning of the head. Take it off and let the body dry for at least few hours.
Don't rush with attaching the head - you don't want the body or the head to start sinking ;)
Cut the top part of the head off ;) Poor smurf! ;)
Once the head and the body are firm, apply some glue on the cocktail stick and the neck and stick the head on.
Dust the topper a bit :)
