Step 1

Cute Cow Topper

Follow all steps 1-53 from the Donkey Tutorial --> https://www.etsy.com/listing/502721847/donkey-cake-topper-tutorial-with-horse
To make the body and the head use Donkey templates. To make the ears use Horse Templates (but stick the ears as shown in the photo). All templates are attached to the Donkey Tutorial PDF file.

Step 2

Roll two 8 mm balls of grey flower paste. Form two teardrop shapes. Curve them slightly. Use a scalpel to cut the ends off.
If the paste is squishy leave it to dry for a moment before cutting the ends off.

Step 3

Stick the horns to the head. Make the mane the same way as in the Donkey Tutorial, but use smaller size balls.
I left the back of the head with no hair and I didn't mind it being a bit flat (comparing to the Donkey's back of the head which was filled with hair).

Step 4

To make the patches I rolled different size balls of black sugarpaste, flattened them and stretched them between my fingers. Work with one patch at a time and stick it right away.

Step 5

To stick the patches use a very small amount of glue - you don't want the glue oozing out from underneath. Smooth the patches with your fingers. When sticking them on the tail, be careful not to break the tail off (support if with your finger from the bottom).

Step 6

Dust the hooves, horns, ears and nostrils slightly :)
